First ever in-person FPA educational session
by Amal Pouzoulet
We’re holding our first ever LIVE Fuel For Thought, at The World Transformed 2025 in Manchester.
It’s a big picture session called Whose energy? Rising bills, corporate capture and the dash for data. To cast a light on energy-use that’s steering us further into poverty and towards climate breakdown.
When Labour came to power, they said clean energy was a top priority, second only to “growing the economy”.
Instead, they’ve thrown billions at big oil’s false solutions and toxic nuclear energy. They’ve approved countless fossil-fuel-hungry data centres, and continue to power the production of mass-casualty weaponry for use overseas.
We’re nowhere near a real green transition, that would bring the benefits of cheaper, renewable energy to everybody.
All the while, we continue to struggle to heat our homes and feed our families. And face climate and disinformation crises that are devastating communities.
Who is our energy for? Where is the money going? Why is there money for big business but not for us?
At this participatory FPA session, we’ll discuss the energy system we are paying for, who is driving it, and how to fight for what we and the planet actually need.
