Join us in Manchester on the 19th of September to explore how the huge benefits of renewable energy can be accessed and enjoyed by all.

Are you getting your FAIR SHARE of the weather?
Energy from the wind and sun are bountiful, and can be nearly free.
Low cost energy is available – but its mostly better-off households who gain far more than their neighbours. This is unfair to all who are not part of the ‘energy elite’ who can afford to kit their homes out with solar panels and drive EVs.
It is people on low incomes who are suffering most as the energy crisis deepens, and who desperately need a fair share of the wind and sun to keep warm, cool, stay connected, and even to cook and wash.
Many of us are also suffering from badly done home retrofits, that make our homes colder or damper, instead of cutting our bills.
This conference will bring together people directly affected by being cut off from the power they need as energy prices spiral, people who are together working out solutions to their own lived experience. Plus campaigners, and energy experts to tease out the best solutions. MPs and Councillors are being invited to respond to what you say.

Make Green Fair – for everyone!
The Make Green Fair campaign is supported by a wide range of organisations and movements.
It is determined to ensure that the huge benefits of renewable energy can be enjoyed by all of the UK’s population.
We’re planning to hear from people affected by – or concerned about – issues like:
Energy justice at home: solar panels, heat pumps, heat networks, home retrofits, storage heaters, prepayment meters, and freeing electricity prices from the volatile price of gas.
Energy sources: the wind, the sun, and the sea, as well as false solutions like Carbon Capture and Storage, or nuclear energy.
International fairness: supply chains for producing and storing green energy, mining and demands from the Global South.
There will be workshops, training sessions, a live Fuel For Thought educational, and more!
Accessibility note – the venue is fully wheelchair accessible with induction loops.
If you want to attend but can’t afford to do so, let us know when you register.
The conference will be held on the 19th of September
