Get Involved

Fuel Poverty Action is a grassroots campaign made up of people fed up with mammoth fuel bills, cold homes and climate crisis. We need you to get involved! Here’s how:

1) JOIN OUR MAILING LIST

Hear about our events, actions and meetings – a fairly low traffic list. Sign up here.

2) BECOME AN ACTIVE MEMBER

We have active members all over the UK. Our group is directed by the collective decisions made by all members of the group, meaning that we’re driven by the ideas and passions of everyone. We aim to minimise hierarchies in our organising and don’t have leader figures. We meet on the first Thursday of the month on Zoom, at 6.30pm. All are welcome – sign up here to get the meeting link. If you are interested in volunteering or want to get involved in another way, email [email protected].

3) SHARE YOUR STORY

Fuel Poverty Action is always looking for people who are willing to share their stories of energy injustice, to inform the public about what’s happening and to use the platform to propose solutions. There are many ways of doing this, from providing a short written quote, to videoing yourself on your phone, doing a recorded audio interview with us or speaking to journalists directly. It could be a one-off thing or we can provide media training and add you to our Speakers Bureau. Please fill in this form if you are interested, and we will contact you.

4) TAKE ACTION NOW!

Go to our Energy For All (e4a) website to see a full list of current actions, from getting organisations, companies and people of influence to sign the e4a manifesto, to taking part in time-limited digital campaigns.

5) DONATE!

We are a small group always in need of help to cover the costs of our campaigning. Can you chip in? A small monthly or one-off donation makes a difference.
